Source:   Date:2020/10/13

On October 6, the nano-biomaterials seminar was held in the State Key Laboratory. The seminar was jointly initiated by the academic leaders, Kong Deling and Shi Linqi. Liang Xingjie from the National Center for Nanoscience and Technology, and Chen Quan, the Director of the State Key Laboratory, attended the meeting. 13 teachers including Kong Deling, Shi Linqi, Yang Zhimou, Ding Dan, Liu Yang, Huang Xinglu, Zhang Chunqiu, Chen Yao, Liu Zunfeng, Guo Shutao, Zhang Liyun, Adam Midgley and Xue Xue shared their personal scientific research approaches, recent research achievements and future research plans. The topics of the reports involved thirteen frontier research directions in Nanobiology, including "Preparation and Biomedicine Applications of Artificial Nano-vesicles", "Physical Effects of Intramolecular Motion", "Controllable Enzymatic Polypeptide Self-assembly", "Application of Nanomaterials in Antibiosis", " Construction of Nanomedicine", "Biological Modeling and Manufacturing of Nano-enzymes", and “Localized Precise Fixation of Biomacromolecules”.

Professor Kong Deling welcomed the presence of researcher Liang Xingjie. At the same time, Professor Kong introduced the purpose and significance of this seminar and called on the State Key Laboratory to strengthen internal communication, conduct greater scientific research cooperation and develop research teams.

Researcher Liang Xingjie recognized and encouraged the research work presented by the speakers, and pointed out that the development of the researchers should draw from the advantages of the platform. While developing independent scientific research projects, they should also pay attention to teamwork and new research directions, advancing the State Key Laboratory to form unique characteristics in several research directions and to gain leading advantages both at home and abroad.

Professor Chen Quan also highly recognized this seminar. He asked the researchers and students to closely follow the requirements of the country, to understand timely and accurately the national major science and technology plans, and to focus on frontier science and pursue innovation to make the State Key Laboratory an outstanding national key laboratory as soon as possible.

The seminar was held in the lecture hall of the Integrated Laboratory Building, Nankai University in Jinnan District. 16 key members of the State Key Laboratory and more than 70 master students, doctoral students, and post-doctoral researchers attended the seminar. The seminar was also broadcast live online. More than 50 teachers and students at the Balitai campus of Nankai University watched all the reports online.
