Research Interest

1. Construction of high-performance biocatalysts based on the accurate assemble/immobilization using porous materials;

2. Formulation of biomacromolecules for enzyme preparation and bioagents development;

3. Development of high-performance separation media

4. Design of porous framework materials for bio-applications, such as funcional carriers for enzyme-immobilization.

Biographical Sketch:

Yao Chen is a professor and doctoral supervisor of State Key Laboratory of Medicinal Chemical Biology and School of Pharmacy in Nankai University, China. She received the master's degree from Nanjing University of technology in 2009, and then the doctor's degree from the University of South Florida in 2014, and engaged in postdoctoral research at the University of California, San Diego from 2014 to 2016. She joined Nankai University in July 2016 and established independent research group that focuses on the precise immobilization and functional formulation of biomacromolecules. She has published 100 SCI papers. As the corresponding/first author she has published 56 papers including Nat CommunNat ProtocNat Rev Chem, JACS, Angew Chem Int Ed, Adv Mater, Chem, Sci AdvACS Catal, Chem Soc Rev. 10 papers have been selected as ESI highly-cited paper. She has 37 authorized/applied Chinese patents and 3 U.S. patents. She is the member of the council of The Chemical Industry and Engineering Society of China (CIESC).
